STAFF BIOGRAPHIES

Dave is from San Jose, California and is a graduate of Universal Technical Institute in Phoenix. He holds several ASE certifications including engine repair and performance systems, automotive brakes, automatic transmissions, electrical systems, air conditioning, etc. He also worked in Switzerland while firming up his plans to specialize in European car service. Upon his return from Europe, he began work at Stevens Creek BMW where he met his business partner, Gary.

Gary Cassetta, co-owner, began his professional career in the automotive industry over 30years ago. His skills with European cars were refined in Santa Cruz while working exclusively on Mercedes Benz. He later turned his expertise towards BMW’s, working throughout the Bay Area. He has also attended some of the best technical schools around the country. At Stevens Creek BMW Gary met Dave. They decided then that they could offer their clients superior service at more affordable prices by starting their own business. In 1991 Autobahn Los Gatos was born.

Jacob Hutton brings a skill set to the table that few technicians possess.  He's quite familiar with the advanced computer systems of today's cars.  Although well-trained and experienced in BMWs, Jacob's emphasis and passion is in Mercedes-Benz.  His diagnostic abilities benefit you the consumer in terms of less time spent diagnosing.  To give you an idea of his enthusiasm, he spends his free time studying electrical diagrams!

Rob Schmidt has many years of dealership experience, most recently at Stevens Creek BMW. Hired by Autobahn Los Gatos as a full Journeyman, Rob had an immediate positive influence in the shop. His love of German cars and expertice is a perfect fit for our team.  He excelles at computer systems and analysis. In a relatively short period of time, he has become the ”go-to“ man in our family. With a quick wit and friendly demeanor, Rob has that rare ability to explain to people in simple terms what ails their cars.
